oil change
when doing an engine oil change on my truck do you just drain the oil from the pan or do you have to get the oil out of the hpop or anywhere else, other than the filter of course? Roy.

And be sure to put a hole in the bottom of the filter prior to removal. Makes it easier.

I use that same oil catch tub as in the link above.
I cut up a window screen and stuffed it in the hole. Made a nice little bubble with screen. I made sure the tub was wiped clean. Want to see everything that comes out. And then wrap on the pan to hear if anything is laying on the bottom.
Then before i start it back up. I swap out the oil in the HPOP.
