Must be one of the last 390's produced , when did they finally bite the bullet, around '75-76 in the truck line, about '69-'70 in the car line, when the 400 took it's place?

Those trucks sell next week, my dad is going to go after the oldest White/Western Star truck, (with my encouragement)
No I didn't go back to see the 390 sell I really don't like hauling stuff out of that yard.
I believe the last year for the 390 was 77, but I've been wrong before.

As far as I know 1976 was the last year of the 390 in trucks and about 1969 in cars.

I expect it was last Sat., PBR has vehicle sales starting every Sat. mornings.
Though they`re getting harder to find I`ve got a spare 390 or two so I wasn`t too interested.

1976 for the F100/350's, 1971 for the cars.

On sale day, sellers wave a magic wand...turning 352's and 360's into 390's.

The VIN engine code is the 4th digit.

1965/72: D = 352 2V (1965) / Y = 352 2V (1966/67) / H = 390 2V (1968/72) / Y = 360 2V (1968/72).

1973/76: H = 390 2V / M = 390 4V (1974/76) / Y = 360 2V.

Stroke: 352/360 = 3.50" / 390 = 3.78"

Farm/Industrial is the only one worth getting excited about, speaking of which is coming up on the 26th.
