light for gear selector

I got the fx4 with the center shifter. My light went out for the gear selector. I pulled everything apart and it looks like the bulb burned out. So I was wondering do I have to goto ford to get this bulb or can I go anywhere and how do you go about changing it. Do you just pull the wires out of the bulb or what. I tried that and it didnt seem like they wanted to budge.

I am not sure how to get it out, but the size of the bulb should be listed in your owners manual where the tail/backup lamps are listed.

o ok thanks i guess i will have to mess around with it. I did see it was a small bulb so I will go look now.

well just checked the owners manual it said for instrument lights see your dealer so anyone know what kind it is.

Don't know for sure, but you might try twisting the bulb socket CCW. Unless there is something different with the console set up, that is what you do with most IP bulb sockets. They usually take a 198 or 194 bulb. I haven't had one apart so that is just a WAG.
