leveling or lift kit

Ok I know this is probably been explained many of times but ok. I dont wana spend a bunch of money. I like the idea of a leveling kit cause they are cheap. I was thinking of a 3 inch front leveling kit with a rear add a leaf. Has anyone done this. Will it sit level or will the front end be higher? How hard would it be to do this? I kinda wana get a lift kit but I got 33 inch tires on it now and dont really wana go bigger cause gas is killing me already. Plus all I see is 6 inch lift kits and they are 2000 well I have seen a 4 inch one but it was just as much as the 6. So any ideas would help out alot I wana order it ASAP and get it installed quick.

I found a 3 inch lift. How would that look if I put my stock tires and rims back on in the winter. Would it look retarded

3" kit is overkill for these trucks and puts an even worse angle on the cv shafts. 3" kit alone will make you sit nose high, with an AAL, then you should have a downward rake

get any 2.5" kit and you'll be good. I prefer Autosprings but there are lots of good kits out there. Autosprings also sells a 3" block that replaces the 1-5/8" block for the back.

all of the coilspring leveling kits are fairly straightforward to install. and you can do it in your driveway. just need a 30mm socket, 1-1/16" wrench and basic handtools....oh yeah, a big hammer is usefull as well

3" lift kits are a waste of your time and money. they achieve the same thing the 2.5" leveling kits do, but at about 3x the cost

My boss put the levelling kit in his supercrew and also added added airbags to the rear..the truck sits perfectly level and looks good,he just needs a bit bigger tire on it,has some low profile pirellis on it,looks pretty hidoeus...

Thumbs up

A 2.5" leveling kit is the way to go. You don't need any additional parts or tools and you can still run your 33's with it. I even have a couple of buddies that are runnin 35's with a 2.5". We all got ours from Hell Bent Steel for $69 and we received them in just a couple of days. Nice lookin, high quality spacers!!!!

Man, I am super stuck here ladies and gentlemen...

I am installing a Hellbent Steel 2.5inch kit, and I got all the way to installing the strut assembly back in.

I am now trying to jack up the lower control arm, to reinstall it all... but the dang spring doesn't want to compress up for me.
It actually lifts the whole truck up.

What do I do?

When the parts shop opens today go and "Loan a tool" and get a set of spring clamps. Pic here; ATD 7546 - COIL SPRING CLAMPS
