Diverter Valve

What is the easiest wat to get access to change out the diverter valve behind the engine?

1988 F150 5.0 4wd automatic tranny

Get into the engine bay or lie across the motor. It may be easier to remove the whole tube assembly from the back of the heads.

Thanks but my arms and hands are too big for that method, already tried it.
