Has anyone had a problem with moisture getting into the front headlight lens area. I noticed after washing mine the other day the front headlight lens had some condenstation inside it. Anyone have a quick fix for that besides taking it back to the dealer.
No quick fix for this one. It would be best to take it back to the dealer. This is a issue that they should know about...
Film on inside of headlight:
Some 2008 F-SuperDuty trucks may have headlights that appear foggy, smokey or seem to have a film on the inside of the lens. Replace affected parts with ones with a date stamp of 8-20-07 or later. Broadcast Message 0351.
I had this problem about a month ago with my headlights. I took the light off to try to get the water out and saw that the rubber surrounding the headlight has rotted and cracked. I assume that this is where the water was able to get in. I took the bulbs out and got all the water out. I've been really careful to avoid hitting the light with high pressure water when washing it the last couple times. I need to try to contact the guy who sold me my headlights to see if they have any kind of warranty, or if he can sell me a passenger side light only. My lights are made by Eagle Eyes, but they are an exact match for the Ford headlights. The drivers side light is fine. I think the rubber used on the passenger side just might have been from a bad batch.
