What could be wrong with this Ranger?
This truck is for sale and it won't go over 25 mph.
Tranny or electrical problem.
EGR system.
I think I may take a look at it and see what's up with it.

Look to see if it has all it's dash warning lights lit at KOEO, ten start it & see if the CEL is lit,if so pull the trouble codes & post all the code numbers you find.
Check the tranny fluids level & condition.
Ask the owner if the tanny fluid & filter has ever been changed & if the problem began suddenly after some event, or slowly over time.
Also ask when the fuel filter was last changed, then maybe check the fuel pressue.
Some things to check for starters.
