Truck in question is a 2000 F350. These appear to be the sport mirrors, as they are not very big. The driver's side mirror only is loose and cannot be manipulated by the power controller, and on the passenger side, I shattered the mirror by hitting a tree, and now the mirror plate is loose, and cannot be manipulated by the power controller. Thus, I would like to replace these with some tow mirrors that may be folded flat when not in use. I have seen some aftermarket ones in a Cabelas catalog, but users of those said they do not fold flat. May I replace the sport mirrors with Ford OE towing mirrors? If so, would someone mind suggesting where they may be purchased? Thank you kindly for any suggestions...

The TT (trailer tow) mirrors are a direct fit. They should even plug into the same connector as long as you get the ones that dont have the heated glass and turn signial. FTEPartsGuy can hook you up with a set of em. He's a site sponsor. PM him or check out his site. Th!nk Parts Guy Ebay is also a place to look, but I've heard some of the knock offs vibrate pretty bad at highway speed.
I replaced my sport mirrors on my 01 with tow mirrors from an 08. But it involves some rewiring and connector changes. I have my old sport mirrors sitting here collecting dust, BTW. They worked perfectly when taken off and are only missing the factory connectors (which should easily transfer from your broken mirrors)
I went ahead and ordered 5 sets of the new updated part numbers for the 08's even though Ford rasised the price to list $407 ea I have them listed as a kit for $xxx.xx well visit my site for the best sell price I can give ya.
