Climate vent switch not working

'93 3.0L w/AC

The selector switch(for switching between vent, defrost, floor, etc.) seems to have stopped working completely today and I'm not sure where to start on fixing it. The fan will still turn on when you move it away from "off," but air will only come out of the defroster vents, no matter what position you move it to.

Anyone had this problem before? Know what areas I should look at? Is this likely a problem with a wire, a switch, a relay, a motor or a door?

Are the climate doors in the post-92 aeros mechanically, electrically, or vaccuum operated? If it's vaccuum, where is the vacuum supply hose located on the side opposite the engine?

Thanks guys, this is a real killer in this heat.

Check under the glovebox, a white colored vacuum line often gets disconnected, causing defrost only. If not under glove box, trace vacuum lines first to eliminate the easy stuff.

Also check under hood for the vacuum lines around the air box. They are tiny plastic lines, and will crack with age and heat.
