95 5.0 idle issue

95 5.0 idle issue
After learning the hard way that my 95 4.9 might have been bulletproof, but not oak tree proof, I bought an identical 95 5.0 auto 4x4. When you crank it up, about half the time the idle will go up and down from normal to almost stall until you put it in gear, then it idles fine. Is this a TPS issue, or what am i dealing with? I miss the 300. Still looking for a suitable replacement front clip for it.
