Wiring/Transmission help
1979, 4x4 ,f350, 351m....(i think c6)
im installing my new centech harness and ive come to the point wefre i have to wire my igniion switch to my neutral safety switch.
i have 4 wires coming out of my transmission, ending at a grey , female plug end.
which wire is the neutralsafety and what are the others.
Wiring schematic or diagram might help too.

Pete,
Two of the four wires are for the park/neutral safety switch and the other two are for the back-up light switch. I am away from my wiring diagrams but believe red with blue stripe is the park/neutral safety. You can check this by placing the trans in park and checking continuity. Typically the park/neutral switch is wired in series with the "start" terminal of the starter solenoid. Hopefully another member can confirm the wire colors for you.
