Yard work!

After a lot of hard work our yard is coming along pretty good. I got the back yard fenced, the deck was done shortly after we first moved in. I put in underground sprinklers in both front and back yard, laid sod in both and built a flower bed in front of the house. As far as the front yard goes I think it's pretty much done for now!! Take a look!!

Looking great! It must be a big relief to be done.
How did you do it, by rented a Bobcat and did you have to bring in any topsoil? Did you lay your own turf or have it done?
I`m just thinking about the acres of grass I have to cut here on the farm. I`ve got the rad back in the Ford 800 tractor, it was over heating and I had it cleaned by a rad shop.
Now I need to clean and repaint the valve cover and put the gas tank back on.

We did all the work ourselves, except for scraping out the yard and we had a truck bring in some topsoil. I borrowed a skid-steer from work to move the dirt around. We layed the sod about three weeks ago and it went really well for our first time. I feels good to get it done but there is still more to do to the back yard.

The yard looks immaculate - not sure if anyone else noticed but I think there was either a small bug of a few grains of fine dust on the driveway. You better get thast mess cleaned up!!
Once everything is done up like that to the nines its nice to admire

We were looking to build new, but this one was almost done and was cheaper than building a new one just like it. They were going to use it as a show home but we got it before they could.
