Just picked up a '89 F-250 351W. Considering it's an '89 I've no complaints from the 45 mile drive home. Engine was solid and ride was solid.
Brakes are giving me a little trouble, mushy and start to over heat with excessive starts/stops (i.e. city driving). So I'll start my repairs with by replacing the rubber brake lines (and obviously a complete brake fluid flush) which I see has been suggested a few times on this board.
I think the battery may be a tad old so that'll be next.
Other then those two items which I'm going to take care of ASAP what are some other quick checks and common fixes on a truck of this age?
