Cliff, hopefully we'll get this thing cranked and broke in but I wouldn't take off to Kansas right off the bat in it. I just re-read Doc's first post. Sorry about the trouble you are having. That truck has been sitting for a while I take it. I would drive it around town and take some short road trips in it first. Give the truck some time to get the bugs out of it.
I have been working on a Jeep Cherokee my dad bought to fix up for my sister.
It has sat off and on now for about a year before and after he bought it.
I have run into break trouble, and wiring trouble that has cropped up from sitting more or less.
I have found acorns and insulation in some unusual places. lol
I have had to replace several wires that have been chewed on.
Just something I have been thinking about since coming back on this site and reading Doc's post.
Site sure has changed a lot. Not sure if it is for the better. A LOT of advertisements.

Clint while it has been sitting we have been out there almost everyday doing something to it to keep rodents out. We plan on breaking it in good locally before trying to go out of state

That's good bud. Should have known you'd be on top of it
