Thumbs up New Motor

Finally got time to work on the engine this week so here's my progress

Edelbrock performer RPM Heads and Intake, Performer 750 cfm carb, Mellings HV oil Pump, Keith black Pistons, Bored .30 block, multi layered steel head gaskets, and more to come!

Looking good!

Where did you get those valve covers? I've never seen them before.

Also, what are you figuring for hp & tq?

i found the valve covers here VALVE COVERS and i got them on eebay for dirt cheap. the only problem with them is that you have to use the felpro gaskets with the metal inserts with them. Should be about 300 rear wheel hp and maybe 280 torque. luckily i work at a dyno shop so ill be able to get it tuned immediatly

No it's actually a comp cam

you should get one of these guys to run it on the desktop dyno.

desktop dyno? never heard of it. the dyno that i work at is rear wheel horsepower.

its a computer program.

it will get you "in the ballpark" numbers.

well it should be all done and back in the truck in a few more weeks so i'll be able to run it again. well at the engine i was told with my set up it should be about 350 to 375 horse. how do i get this program to run the engine on. When i do get this on the dyno i'll make sure to tell you guys so you can check it out live on our webcams at the shop. the website is www.performance-dyno.com

Well i finally got the motor in this weekend. timed it and it started right up runs great. ill try to get the video up on youtube so you all can see
