BII Engine Wiring Problems

I have a 2.9 88 BII that continues to have, I think, an intermediate short in the wiring between the ECU and engine. Sometimes it run great next time it will just barely run. I have changed out the ECU, timing module in distributor and of course spark plug wires and sparkplugs, Also pulled the injectors cleaned and put new connectors on them. I have also checked continuity on the wires I can get to. I am thinking it is a bad connector somewhere. The only thing left I think is to change out the wiring. I am looking for an new or good used wiring loom between the ECU and engine. Does anyone know of a good source for this. Also any ideas of what else I should check?
Thanks for your help,
Duncan

If I thought there was a bad connection somewhere in the engine wiring, the 1st thing I'd probably do would be to pull codes from the computer. Any trouble codes might help narrow the fault down to a specific circuit (rather than the entire wiring harness) and you may be able to simply fix that circuit.

I Had A E 150 Van That Would Not Start After Changing The Thermostat.
It Turnes Out To Be Not The Wiring But One Of The Connectors To The Distributor. It Was A Bugger To Find But The Fix Was Cheap.l Be Persistant

Try replacing the connector on the coil, it costs $8. Very hard to trouble shoot it. Try replacing the TFI harness too. $12. The wires break and it is hard to test them properly.
