I use simple green to wash down the engine. Once it is washed down, i turn on the truck to let it run to dry the motor off. After that i spray it with engine detailer (can be bought at autozone) or tire shine (works good as a eng detailer)
Here are some shots of my v-10 cleaned and detailed (with tire shine lol):
BTW, i let the eng run for like 10 or 15 mins to let it dry off. Hope this helps. If you have any more ques, ask!
I agree Simple Green ,,, and a standard garden water hose...to rinse off...
Cover up or be careful not to get your PCM (aka computer ) wet on the passenger firewall....
Was that comment directed towards me of the OP? If it was towards me, thanks man!
Geez...hope that was towards both of us....
OK...now regarding the coils and such ~ have any of you done any preventative measures or did you just wash the motor and 'hope for the best' and got lucky with no probs?...
