I was just wondering if anyone knew what would cause my engine to drop to about 300 rpm's then shut right back up to normal idele when I push in my clutch coming to a stop light or stop sign, no matter what speed. It doesn't do it all the time just every once awhile, for abou the last two years. Is something going out or is it normal.
I had the cps replace with the recall, and yes it was doing it brfore that. could it be something in my clutch that would cause it. I do have a superchip in set on tow, and i have put it back to noramle setting and it still does it. I hope it just normal and I just noticed a little later than I should of.
That sounds interesting to me. I know on my auto, if I shift it into neutral, while still moving, it does the same thing, revs up just a little, then back down to normal idle. I just dont see that a standard shift truck, with the right progamming would do that. A call to Jody at DP tuner would probably answer your question, but it would have to wait till monday.
My truck dose that... I assumed it was somthing to do with my motor being junk but it still dose it with my new motor... I wouldn't worry about it... And if your has been doing that for the past two years and nothing has broke yet, you should be fine!
sounds like my chip when going out of my 80E to the stock setting..the injectors are leveling out...idle goes down back up then to normal idle...my trucks is an auto...but it could be what you are feeling..the clutch being pushed in and all load off the motor the truck may drop RPM faster then the ICP can....so RPM bounces till the ICP can catch up....
