big storm went through here last night...heavy wind, rain and some hail. wind got so bad in town that it ripped part of the roof off a pole building and planted it on some vehicles at Royal Ford. luckily it was on the clearance side of things, but a mid 90's ford windstar, mid '90's taurus were the only Fords hurt in the incident... then there was a saturn, a fiero(definately write off!!!) and an older caprice that got 'er bad... Manager figures a small twister went through the yard as well because there was one sheet of 3/4 inch plywood through the windshield of the freightliner 5-ton truck, but none of the other materials were moved. you'd think that with the strong wind that the thinner/lighter sheets would have went for a ride first...
Sherm is there ever hail back on the rock or any other part of the maritimes??
my dad told me of once when he was a kid, there was golf ball sized hail in st johns(east coast of the island)... it did a poop load of damage. i can't remember seeing any in my time other than BB sized stuff. i can't recall if the maritimes get it much either.
That was the storm i was mentioning in my other thread!
Good thing it took out a winstar and a taurus, good riddance to bad rubbish
Serious though im glad no one got hurt, that could throw a person around like nothing.
I think we have a few pictures somewhere of baseball sized hail that fell from te sky one time when i was a little kid. I remember keeping some in my grandparets freezer.
I really hate hail too, We had a little hail storm here a few weeks ago. It sounded like the widows of the house were going to break, I'm glad there was no damage.

Last summer was a bad year for us with hail damage. It got the truck, camper and a different storm got the house and the garage.
