4 speed for a 4x4

Im ordering my stroker in a week or so but heres my question. Right now the plan is to run a built c6 with a reverse manual valve body and a 3000 stall, in a 1978 f150 4x4 with a 545 ci stroker making 525 hp and 700 ft lbs of tq. Is there a good 4 speed that will swap in and mate to the married transfer case. i dont want a truck 4 speed Im thinking more like a toploader, something to bang gears in. The t case is a np205 and if no trans will mate up stock, is there a company that sells a conversion like this? Or should I just keep my stock c6

i would suggest a zf 5spd strong enough to bang gears with big power plus you have od for the hyway im not sure if your transfercase will bolt up but getting one that does shouldnt be a problem

Stick with your C6 and add a Gear Vendor if you want more gears. You will just break things with a manual trans with your combo of power & weight.

i doubt a zf would handle that much power for very long.

agreed with the above. build the c6 for the power. its easier on the rest of the drivetain aswell.
