Thanks for the kind words guys, it was a scary decision especially with the economy the way it is. I traded my (payed for)1999 Fleetwood Mallard 33Z travel trailer for it, so I had a good down payment. We've only had it about a month and have been camping twice already and going back out next weekend. The past couple of years, we've always tried to go camping every free weekend when we can in the Summer, the kids love it. The kids decided not to be on the swim team this Summer so we could camp more.
Because of my stacks, I had to get a hitch with a slider even though I have a long bed truck. Its not a problem going forward but I have to use the slider when I jack it into a campsite. Alot of campsites where we go are damn near a 90 degree angle to get into. I would'nt be a problem if I had a single stack, but that's not going to happen, sorry Kris! The only time I have a soot issue from the stacks is when it rains and even then its not that bad. I wipe the soot off with a wet cloth, 10 minutes later I'm good.
Jeremy, I totally blame Brandon for this!
Mike, Big Oil is on the back burner, at least for now.
Dan, I have no problem saying it. It IS my wife's fifth wheel. But...its MY truck that pulls it! Don't tell her I said that though!
Oh, did I mention it has TWO (2) bathrooms! That just blows my mind!
chris, since my wife and I just had our 4th mon. this is one mod.that she doesn't mind and wants to do cause my trk.sits all the time you know the fuel thing.and she can't stand things sitting around.
Chris that is one sharp camper, you could house half of the FTE members that come next year to Smokin . I am sure your wife is really happy to see you out there scrubing the front of it everytime it rains.
That is one sswwweeett portable home. If I had one that nice, I would have to find time to go camping more than a couple times a year to justify that. Very nice indeed.
That is sweet looking. Two bathrooms huh, thats more then my house, well that looks bigger then my house. LOL I was thinking my next camper to be a 5th wheel but I throw a bunch of stuff ( fire wood, kids toys) in the bed. Have fun and go camping..
Hard to tell how much clearance between the bedrails. Do you have atleast 6"? I was close to 6" up front and a little over 4" in the rear of the bed before I "flipped" my axles. Now 6-7" overall and pulls level. Best $300 camping mod I've ever done.
So your wondering what to do for next mod???WATER METH!!!

I second that comment. My 5'ver tracks much better since I flipped my axles.
