What exactly is Freeze 12?? I have heard that it is compatable with R12, and that you CAN mix these two refrigerants together in a system without problems, and that it preforms like R12, I also understand that you must have a license to buy Freeze 12, unlike R134A, I really don't want to convert my system to R134A due to all the problems it causes, baised on what I've heard and wittnessed for myself on other folks systems. Thanks
Freeze 12 is a pretty good replacement for R12, and although they recomend evacuating the R12 before using, it does seem to mix and work good with the R12. As far as the license is concerned, alot of places are requiring certifiacation to buy, but there is no law on it at this time. The law specifically states that the sale of refrigerants containing cfc's (example: R12) requires a license to buy. Freeze 12 does not contain cfc's, but alot of places are not sure about the law, so they are requiring a license.
