Need COPS help. It's apart now.

I am replacing my plugs and cop boots right now. The factory spring in the boot has a contact tip on it of some kind that touches the top of the plug. The replacement that I got with the new boots looks like a spring on both ends with something in the middle. Help! Is this ok to use or did I get a bum part?

Some are different then others whatbrand are you using .

I just replaced my trucks with accel super coils and some of the old cops where like what your saying

it's fine, well it will get the job done

have 4 or so as you discribed on my truck and look at it now... parked for 2 straight months

i bought motorcraft cop's on ebay and they are what you are describing. i got them for $35 each, and came with the boot and spring attached. even came with a plug too.
