wont turn over

hey guys....so i stalled out in my 89 3.0L manual earlier and wasnt able to start it again. the battery is not dead - my radio still worked and so did my air. the engine would not turn over.

Fuel pump does work...i can hear it. Is the starter prolly the problem? the van has 98K on it.

can you start her with towing? but before you try be sure ingnition os off and try to crank engine with ratchet and socket.. try with alternator pulley... be sure engine is not seized....

I suggest you have dead starter, ore corroze terminals...

I'm with Pablo, check the battery cables and the ends at the starter. Jump the solenoid to see if the starter engages.

Could be a very weak battery, having enough power to play the radio and maybe the headlights, but not enough to crank the car.

All right i just got off work so i get to drive over to where shes sitting and tow her home hopefully. I figure it will be a hell of a lot easier to work on it at home. I did try to jump start it, cause i figured that my battery might be weak....it didnt work. thanks for the help...its weird cause it hasnt had any problems starting recently, and started right up when i left on the trip. argh.

bump started it to get home, took off the starter and cleaned it, and it started right up....dunno why it wouldnt work. maybe it was hot....maybe some oil got on it. im not sure. gonna charge my battery just to be safe later.
