Any tricks?

So I just bought a 1998 Navigator today and since everybody here was full of info when I bought my powerstroke I was wondering if there are any little tricks to gain any hp or mpg. Also what kind of exhaust and air intake does everybody suggest? Thanks alot

You are going two opposite directions with that statement.

If you want hp, you will lose mpg.

The best way I have determined to gain mpg is to use a light foot, slow starts and keep it under 65 mph. I have gained as much as 3 or mpg by practicing this method. It's boring, but fun will empty the wallet!

Good luck with the 'gator!

dakota_Vinking, you are right about MPGs light foot, slow start, also try to keep it under 2000 rpm. Im getting about 19.5 mph on the highway.
