I need some experience on this one........

I replaced my clutch pressure cycle switch because my clutch stopped spinning like normal and was very, very sparatic.....so I troubleshot to the switch. Now the a/c blows, but.... the clutch rotates a lot more than usual seems to be about 10-15 times a min. Is this normal? This doesnt bug me much except for, I have a Carb and not EFI so it revs the engine everytime for the compressor. 85 bronco 5.8, 4brl Holley. On a side note, How hot should engine parts like the A/C compressor get. Mine gets quite warm, not like red HOT.

It sounds like you are low on refrigerant. The pressure switch will cycle the clutch off when the suction side of your compressor pressure drops to around 20 psi. It will cycle back on around 40 psi. If your refrigerant charge was good it would not do this.
