How hard is this? I took a look at the rear door today and it looks kind of tricky/cramped. Just wondering if I should take it to the dealer and pay the man if it's a headache. All four doors are shot.
While I was waiting for a reply I called the dealer. They want $240 American PER DOOR! Guess I know what I'll be doing on my day off. Anyone know if there is a better power lock actuator than factory?
Phoenix, AZ. I just found a "how to" thread. Just trying to find the best/fastest way to get parts. I have no key cylinder (took them out after a thief liked my stereo more than I did)... fob only. Therefor I feel I'm on borrowed time til I'm eventually locked out.
All right! Just finished the driver's side doors. First one took 45-60 minutes (that good ol learning curve). Next one took 20-30 minutes. The tech thread on here really helped. Got too hot outside, so I'll do the other two doors tomorrow. By the way, I bought new actuators at Ford. I asked the guy if these were new and improved... he said "yes, I shouldn't have to replace them again". Price was $50.58 a piece (gave me a deal since I was buying all four). Didn't think that was too bad as I priced them on the internet for about $48.00/per plus shipping.
