Manifolds will be pricey from the dealership, either find some in a junkyard or go with a set of LT headers. Fel-pro are the best gaskets and can be found just about everywhere.
Hi all been a member a while but this is my first post. I just replaced one of mine on my 2003 4.6 and I got the manifold at napa. It came with the gasket for 85.00 bucks.Took about six hrs to do one side. I got the studs at my dealer. Good luck Jeff
I decided to order everything from RockAuto. I went with Dorman oem replacement. Now it's a matter of scheduling a full day to do the job. Anybody have a suggestion on how to remove the head studs?
From what I've seen on FTE, the studs in the cylinder head for the exhaust manifolds are coming out easily. You should not have much trouble at all with the manifolds removed. Good luck!
Fits: 1996/97 F150/250 4.6L. 2WD/4WD makes no difference.

There is no stud kit available, the parts are only available separately.
There are two types of exhaust manifold gaskets, one type has two ports, one type has four.
Have you bought the manifolds already? I will sell you both of mine from my 2003 5.4L 4x4. They only have 30k miles on them before i swapped to lt headers. pm if interested.

XL3Z9430GA .. Right & XL3Z9431FA .. Left exhaust manifolds is what your 5.4L truck calls for.
These are not the same parts as a 1996/97 4.6L uses.
See post #7 above for the '96/97 4.6L part numbers.
