Adjustable orfice tube
Has anyone used an adjustable orfice tube w/r134 conversion. If so, how did it perform? I'm curious to know if helps cool better than a standard orfice tube. Installed one w/retrofit(93 f150 351) Truck was missing the air compressor when i purchased it. So i have no way of knowing the difference. Thanks. Great site!!! Lots of info.

If you mean the VOV, then I've heard that some techs have quit using it because of problems with it sticking... Some say it works, some say it is a negligible improvement... I dunnno.
ask at http://www.ackits.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi ... THEY will have an opinion, and the experience to stand behind it. Nacho Corella who posts there and on www.aircondition.com was using it, but I think he stopped..

I've used a VOV valve in my Bronco. Waste of money. I honestly couldn't tell any improvement. When I changed out a hose recently, I went back to the standard orfice tube. VOV for my bronco was $24.00 at Discount Auto Parts. Standard orfice tube is $1.99 at Auto Zone.
