coolant question

I flushed my radiator today in my 82 351W. The store I went to only had the orange coolant and it said on it that it was formulated to also be used and safe in all the new GM vehicles, it was called DEX-COOL by Prestone. It had alot of writting on it about GM this and GM that, I put it in my old ford, I'm assuming that everything will be fine, I mean coolant is coolant right?. I'm just not used to orange coolant!

Make sure you have every last bit of air out of that system. The additives that protect the alluminum on late gm's do not react well to air in the system. If it has an air pocket, it will rust and sludge something fierce.
