relocating rear spring hanger
I'm in the process of putting my 66 on a 1979 chasis. I want to drop the rear 4 inches or so. On the 79 is there a need to buy new front hangers? The current hangers can easily be moved up 3 inches or better and redrilled. I will still need to buy new shackles for the rear, but it just doesn't look like I need both shackles and hangers. Also how far up would I need to move them?
Before someone gets mad about me posting this in 61-66 instead of 73-79, let me say they are a different breed of folks over there. Seems to be against the law to do any type of drop on a 73-79. Kind of like someone dropping a chebby into a slick, lol.
