Post Air Cond Conversion

Had the air conditioner on my 91 Ford E350 converted over by an AC shop. They changed several parts and seals. System still cycles on/off (max ac) but now blows cold air. The shop told me that the on/off cycling was normal on conversions. Would like to know if this is true.

Post Air Cond Conversion

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 02-Aug-02 AT 01:03 PM (EST)]The A/C compressor is supposed to cycle on/off-conversions as well as regular systems. The frequency depends on several variables, but a normal system will cycle several times a minute. Very rapid cycling is due to low refrigerant pressure. 'MAX' air setting has nothing to do with the compressor operation, it merely closes the outside air blend door and allows the interior air to recirculate.
