I have a service engine light that came up as -running too lean, bank 2- guy at parts store sold me an oxygen sensor said it was the downstream sensor. Said it was after the cat. For the life of me I can't find a sensor after the cat. Theres nothing there. I see 2 coming out of the exhaust manifold under the block. (1 on each side) but that's all I see. My truck sits up plenty high so I have a clear view all around and it just isn't there.
There is no down steam sensor on your pickup. A bank lean code has several possible problems. Dirty or bad Mass flow sensor. Low fuel presure. Or a vacuum leak. The pcv hose has been a problem on those engines. I would check it first. Run your fingers along the pcv hose all the way to the intake manifold. Mine was split near where it goes into the intake manifold. I replaced it and unpluged the battery for 15 minutes to clear the code and problem gone.
Thank you for answering. I just ran out and noticed theres about a 1in hose that runs into the same place as the tube from my air filter. It pulled right off very easily and seems to have some oil that has dripped from it. Maybe if i put a hose clamp around it so it's tighter that will fix it? Sorry I can't descibe it much better. I am by no means an expert.
