have big plans for the next 3 days, took off work to paint the cab......
but been messing around some.
RTV'ed the strips i got from denniscarpenter prior to assembly, seems to work pretty good. i guess time will tell..........

Love the color! What exactly is it?

I found it really helped (but was time consuming) to punch the holes in the strips for bolts before mounting. I have a set of hole punches that made it easier.

 

it's 1971 (cough, cough) mercedes "blue" it's darker in person than the picture, but not much.

After the RTV dried, i used and exacto knife to cut the bolt holes.......

Looks pretty close to the color of your truck, what is you color from?

 

Ah, nothing like assembling a truck in the comfort of your own living room.
