Winter driving?

I am buying a 150 supercrew in a few days and wanted to know how they do in the winter? I know trucks are notorious for being bad on snow and ice, but how does the 150 rate?

Winter driving?

Any vehicle can be bad in ice or show. The advantage with four wheel drive is getting the vehicle in motion. That does not mean it will not slide or stop in it.This truck will be fine.

Winter driving?

Driving on ice is pretty dangerous no matter what you drive. I drove my 2001 truck in the Sandia Mountains right after a heavy snowstorm. At 6500 pounds, I had no problem with traction in snow. My truck has the off road package and the taller tires with Goodyears had excellent adhesion while I drove in 4H. The Antilock brakes gave me good control over the snow and only got a little squirly when driving downhill doing about 30 and slamming on the brakes. It went where it was supposed to, it just didn't want to stop anytime soon. The brake pedal thumped enthusiastically however and let me know it was working. Also, since it has the longer wheelbase and extended cab, weight distribution is good. All in all, I was very happy with the performance in heavy snow on steep inclines. Great fun!!
