aftermarket A/C
Hi all. I have a '66 F250 flatbed I bought a couple of months ago. Heater core started leaking last week. I had just put in a new radiator, water pump and thermostat. Probably with the system actually working properly, too much pressure for the original heater core.
I had noticed when I gor the truck that there was what looked like an aftermarket a/c system (minus compressor). When taking apart heater core, sure enough there is an a/c dondensor in there too.
I have no interest in hooking up the a/c again, but was wondering if anyone out there is interested in the condensor. Its labeled "Cool Cab, Fort Worth Texas." It attaches to the right side of the heater core box and has a control **** on the front of it. One wire to energize compressor and a sensor to the coil, so acts lie a thermostat.
The coil appears to be in pretty good shape and I hate to throw it in my scrap pile if somone out there could use it.
