best thing to do is pull off the door panel and take a look at the window mechanism. it could be a couple things (came out of the track, stripped gear on the motor ect..) i learned that on my 89 town car when i couldn't get the power vent window up, the gear was stripped on the motor, had to rob one from a bone yard
Try to do a search. I know this has been a big problem. Thankfully I havent had it yet, but alot of guys have and there are some good threads explaining the problem and the fix. Good luck
Thanks for ur advices i went and took off the door panel which was kind of easy thing to do, after reading some of u who had same problem, and find out it's my regulator cables, call the extended warranty guys and fuiuuu!! I'm covered couse the local deale wanted 330 dlls for doing that!! hopei can get away doing the front doors at the same time all depends on the service mananger, hope he can understand and agree to doit.
Hold the switch in the up position and hit the door in the center just below the pull handle fairly hard, if the window goes up you need a motor, if not you may have to do a little more diagnosing. Maybe switch, or motor that wont take off. Just remove the panel and check for power on both wires in both directions. If you have power on both wires in both directions the motor is the problem, if not you may have a bad switch.

I wouldn't say it's a big (systemic) problem, but it's sure one that will get posted all over the place when it happens...
I might of worded it wrong. It hasnt happened to me yet. ( 20,000 on an 06 F150) but I sure have seen alot of threads on it. BTW I love my 06. Just trying to help out.

I didn't mean anything by it...If mine did it, it would be a huge problem, also!!
look up the articles which deal with the installation and save $200. install price. Take care when removing door panel which is the most difficult part.GM
