Hi,everyone.
Im' not exactly a new member but this my first post,so....I have a clean '54 f100,and have put disc brakes on the old streight axle,a '72 f100 9" w/3.70's in it a new fuel tank etc.I did a lot of searching and found a 312 w 113 heads to put in the old girl. Now with $4.00 gal.fuel the old 223 is looking better and better.I have done a search and came up with zip on building more power into the I6.[more comp, bigger valves, better Ign,etc.]where should I look?I recently saw a build up of a chevy 235 6cyl that managed 135/140 hp,the 223 should be capable of more than that with 1 more intake port and 2 more exh.ports.any Ideas?I'll be using a 5 sp mustang trans.not looking for mega power ,just a little more grunt.I've been thinking of building a long tube intake w a large plenium ala the old cross ram chryslers.Any I6 guru's out there?thanks in advance
