River rapids!

Looks as though my ac might be doing the same thing. The last couple of days I thought there was something rolling around on the floor. I finally took the few seconds tonight and found the passenger side carpet is soaked, this is the first year it's happened at least that I have noticed. I will have to see if its definitely the ac that causing the issue. Every time I would make a left it sounded like river rapids flowing by!

Did the extra part of the hush panel work?

no the hush panel did not work, it helped, but most of the water comes from a leak or condensation on the drain pipe at the firewall.

Thanks for the quick reply....

So your saying there's nothing that can be done? Also was the hush panel just a snap in part?

This will be definitely be my last Ford product.. Love the ride but i have had way too may issues with my 07 Expy and previously my 02 Explorer.

There should be a fix to the lean, I have not looked into it a lot, but I am sure covering or wrapping it will insulation should stop it.

yes the hush panel is a snap-in.

Thanks! I will have to go and order the part. What did you mean by "There should be a fix to the lean?"

There should be a fix “to the leak” is what I meant to say, it, I just have not tried any yet, i.e. insulation

It's weird, I haven't had this problem since 2008. Shortly after I posted about it, the problem simply went away and hasn't come back. I'll have to check this summer to see if it returns and I just haven't noticed it. Pretty crappy design regardless.

The dealer suggested it may be a clogged drain for the AC. Does anyone have any tips on how to go about check for a blockage?

Thanks!

My mother's Mercury Mini van had this issue and there is a drain that comes out from the firewall in on the engine side. I carefully stuck a hanger in there and unclogged it. She has had no issues since.

Our trucks do not have the drain hose visible. Its an opening in the silver heat/sound shield on the passenger side of the firewall. It's a bad design. I don't know how you would stick a coat hanger up there with any accuracy.

Bad design is right! I'm so frustrated with this vehicle...

Is there a drain tube that can be accessed from under the glove compartment?

I don't think so but I could be wrong. Crawl under the truck with a powerful light and see if you can see the opening I mentioned. I know the water just drips out of the shielding opening on mine.
