Performance chips and Floblade question...
they are useless for everyone except the person selling them. for the seller, they are a cash generator.
as for the performance chip, that is usually a waste of money too. it is usually nothing more than a 10 cent resister sold for $25 that is put in place of the intake air temp sensor to fool the computer into thinking the intake air is hotter than it actually is, causing the computer to reset timing and give the engine more fuel.
more power by a bit, but the mpg takes a big hit.
the best thing for better fuel mileage is a lighter right foot.
