So judging by your question, youve never installed a carrier before? It requires some special tools, and if I was you, I would really, really try to find someone GOOD at doing it, and have them help/show you what to do. Not just someone whose done it before. Its very important to set the gear depth, and backlash correctly. And while your doing all that, you may as well get new bearings, and basically rebuild your diff, if its in the budget. However, the best write up Ive ever seen, is from Yukon gear, http://www.yukongear.com/Downloads/T...structions.pdf . Read this all, and see if you think your upto it. This shows gear install, which, you are infact actually doing, because your switching out carriers, which essentially forces you to "re-setup" the gears.
I have never installed one before, but I have a full time shop I do my installs at and they have several guys who are very good at this stuff.. They will be there to help me and also said the same things about setting the backlash and making sure everything is just right.
I should add, I am extremely gratefull I had help, from someone who was good at it, the first time I setup a new set of gears/carrier. That was in my truck before this one, and 4 years ago.
Just make sure you read that writeup, and pay close detail to it. Its pretty informative.

Superdoodie, not to side track, but have you dynoed or been to the track? I may have asked you before, but your setup has me curious, maybe again.
No not yet. Our local drag strip was just purchased by the county and is undergoing some rehab.. Hopefully it opens in the next few weeks.. I hope to get on a dyno within the next month or so.. I have the truck running awesome but now my rear diff is going out.. I pull a large 5th wheel toyhualer and its giving my stock LS fits
