I have no power anywhere, ie lights wont turn on, gauge cluster doesn't light up, nothing works. Before u ask yes i did disconnect the batteries before i started and yes i did reconnect them when i tried to turn things on. is there a fuse or a relay that i can check/replace....or did i fry something much more important.....?
what did you tap for power? did you use a check light? for switch power or constant? you may have tapped a switch power source which means for your gauges to work, that accesory must be on. make sure you have a power source that uses ignition as your on and off. how about ground?
i used the plug under the dash with the red wire with yellow trace like every set instruction ive found said to. the gauges worked at first but the egt wasn't responding, it lit up but didn't register temp. So the only wire i found to be completely different between the boost egt gauge was the ignition power source. I disconnected the batteries, and went to change the power source to #29 10amp mini-fuse in the fuse panel. when i reconnected the drivers side battery nothing worked, not the gauges not the gauge cluster, not the lights, nothing. tried reconnecting the other batt and just for a sec the gauges lit up but then went blank and now nothing works.
Sounds like you have some dead batteries or a bad connection somewhere. A bad fuse would be bad until you fix it, not come and go. Double check those connections, on both batteries.

Ok i went out and brushed the terminals till they shined and the truck now starts and everything works........that is except my egt gauge. I can see it flick like its reseting itself when i turn things on but it will stay just below 100 degrees and won't change. so im starting to wonder if i have a bad sender.
Could be a bad sender, Make sure the the lead wire coming from the probe is not touching something. Where did you mount the probe? If it is a clamp on type, I think in needs to be grounded.
ok made a seperate ground wire, checked the grounds to make sure they worked, checked the power to make sure it works, checked to see if there were any kinks in the line, and everything works and seems fine except for my gauge won't read the temp......i even tried moving the sensor in and out of the hole but it had no effect.
Did you use an extension wire to hook the egt sensor to the sending unit? If you do, take the probe out and hook it up directly to the sending unit. You can give it a quick test with a lighter before you put it back in the manifold. The one I got with my gauge was bad (one wire had 2 ohms resistance) and kept the gauge from reading anything.

Can anyone help me with this?
I hate to ask the obvious question, but you are running your truck and allowing enough time for the temps to get up enough to move the gauge?
