Color Codes!

Does any one know the color code for that burnt orange circa 1973?

I use this site. Middle of the page, select your vehicle from the pulldown menu. Based on the photo, the closest color is Chrome Yellow, code is G.

It's really hard to tell, because the truck is faded, and the computer monitor can fool you too.

I'd wait for the build sheet that he has coming before I'd buy any paint. The build sheet will tell what color it is.

Color Chip Selection

Looking at '74 colors, you have a couple more orange color options. What does the color code on the door tag say?

Yeah I'm starting to get weary that it wont show up (and I'm highly impatient when it comes to this truck) I want it to be purdy.

It took six months for the one for my 1981 to get to me.

They have to look up the records for your truck by hand. I've heard some people it's taken a whole year to get it.

Well worth the wait when you get it though.
