have a 1997 250hd with a 5.8 with 230k it runs better than any vehicle ive had and there is absolutely no smoke from the exhaust. engine doesnt even studder or have the occassional idle jitter. does hav a rotted oil pan tho. what are some of your experiences with these engines
Good engines always hear lots of good about em if treated good and well taken care of they last forever but they can take a beatin and still last have had my 93 F150 with the 5.8 for almost two years and it has gave me no trouble really realiable trucks
yea the dude i got the truck from said it was a fleet truck (from some big company) so im guessing that it probably got serviced more frequently than needed. and i know they work it caused the wheel wells are dented way in and the front of the bed is ripped on both sides from too much weight shifting from side to side on the racks that must have been on there before
