Diy Aic

Ok so I've read a couple threads on this and then went out and looked at my '03 and I have one plug on the left side of the pedal at the top and it has 5 wires coming out of it. They are red with yellow tracer, red w/ green tracer, gray w/ white tracer, yellow, brown w/ white tracer. In the threads I have read the IVS and TPS are two seperate items. One has two wires and one has three coming out if it. I have seen a thread that cookie 88 did and his was a four wire hookup using a Red w/ yellow, red w/ green, grey w/ white and a black w/ white. My question is on my '03 is the IVS and the TPS all one deal? Cause all the wires will match up with cookies wiring except the black w/ white wire which the brown wire on my truck could be black(not real sure). Any help with this would be much appreciated. Thanks!

DO IT YOURSELF AUXILIARY IDLE CONTROL. Dang Caps. My question is, is the TVS (throttle validation switch) and the TPS (throttle position sensor) in the same little box deal on my truck? It appears that on the older trucks they were separate, but my truck has the same colored wires coming out of the box at the top of my fuel pedal.

Your '03 does have the all-in-one IVS/TPS sensor on the pedal.
The instructions, I used for the AIC, show a brown with white stripe. All the other colors are correct.
Just follow the directions and you'll be OK. I forget what resistor I ended up using, but it put the rpms at about 2500 at full ****. PM me if you have any other ???s.

Thanks Roland! I just wanted to be sure before I went to splicing into wires. Maybe it was just a misprint in the instructions I got. Just waiting on my switch from mouser now.

The AIC provides higher rpm for extended idling and faster warm up. But, I like the fact it gives me the ability to adjust the rpms when I'm working on the truck, checking things out, by myself.
