Coolant Change

I have a 97 FORD RANGER when I got it there was 65K on it
I've gone 7K miles with it,should I change the coolant?

I generally change mine every two years, just before winter. I've never heard of a particular mileage limit. If you don't know the maintenance history of the vehicle, it wouldn't be a bad idea to change it, though.

What type of Antifreeze? Can yoou use Dexcool if you dont have red in the truck now? Thanks

Coolant Change

My 2002 service guide says change the green coolant every 45K. If you don't know for a fact it has ever been changed, by all means do so. Ad far as switching from regular green ethylene glycol to the red dex-cool, I'm not sure about that.
