I bought a Reman C6 off of Ford a month ago. It was installed a week later and discovered a major leak comming from the front pump area. Ford told me to bring it to the local dealer for repair. Last week the dealer removed the trans, replaced the Oring on the front pump and installed the trans. Same problem, now Ford is telling the dealer they have to determine why the trans cannot be corrected by them before they will send another rebuilt trans. I think the trans is cracked in the front pump area for the Oring to not seal. I know the dealer is not too happy, and I am also wondering who is oing to pay for all the dealer labor removing & installing, Removing & installing again. 1989 F250 4x4 7.3
The dealer should cover all costs after the initial install, part of the warranty. It could be one of several things, it could be the the seal around the tc hub, it could be the tc hub is cracked, the tc could have a pin hole which would be obvious, or the case or pump could be cracked. If the dealer tries to stick you for money for this, tell them you will call Ford and refuse to pay.

I don't think it is a tc hub leak or pinhole, because the leak is not being flung around by the rotation of tc. It is leaking pretty good and running down the inside of the case behind the tc.
