i really really wish new york would stop giving out drivers licenses in cracker jack boxes.
has anyone been on 287 north at RT#1 in the past 3 weeks??
we put in a temporary bridge so we could replace the existing bridge.
sometime last night, 2 new yorkers were driving down the road, and could not decide whether to go over the new bridge, or the old one. so they went straight into the guardrail bull-nose between the 2 bridges,first car head-on, and then the second car rammed the first one in the rear.
oh, and by the way, they were both doing 75 mph in a 45 mph zon
guess who had to go do the double lane closure on a holiday traffic afternoon??
i had traffic backed up for 7 1/2 miles onto the outerbridge crossing.

and just so you don't feel that bad, it took me over 45 minutes to make the 10 minute drive from exit 4 to the house here in Laurence Harbor, cause of all the rubberneckers on the southbound side looking at us on the north side caused a 12 mile backup going south.

Man Steve that sucks. I'm going to one BBQ tonight in next town so hopefully won't be bad at all. As far as driving further than that you can't count me out. Definitely party time now.
