fuel gauge not working
I filled it twice since to see if the float was stuck or something. The gauge goes to E when the ignition is off but jumps up to F when turned on.
Thanks......Mark
For me, when it goes to full, it was always easier to fix, something simple like broken wire, unplugged etc.
When it was sending unit, it would go e.
I am pretty picky about the gauge being right, so first sign of trouble, i pull the bed, so , i can work on it test it adjust it, etc, without going up and down with tank. Also gives you chance to know what reserve is. what i did was take total gal say34, 4 will be reserve, leaves 30 half is 15, so after i get bed of drain tank and have measure 19 gals available. after drain add the 19, then reassemble and see if its at 1/2 tank. if not take it out and adjust, usually a slight bend, until i get it right on 1/2.
