EEC Computer removel

To get the computer out, do you pull it out from the engine or cab side of the firewall?

92 up from engine compartment.

earler from inside cab.

disconnect battery first.

Why are you pulling the EEC? If you suspect a bad computer, you will prolly end up replacing something else to fix the problem @ computers rarely go bad.

computer pull

Switched out pretty much everything else already. A friend has a F-150, same year and all, going to switch computers and find out.

On my 92 f250 4x4, I loosened the plastic shroud and went in through the left side wheel well. It's easier to get to that way. Then loosen the single bolt that holds on the elec. connector and slide out the computer. It took me about 20 minutes to do this.
